    First Preparatory Committee meeting of the Ministerial Process (PrepCom I)

    Ministerial delegations from all over the world will meet at the UNESCO Headquarters for the First Preparatory Committee meeting of the Ministerial Process (PrepCom I.) Over 110 delegations are expected to participate in this event. 
     
    The goal of the Preparatory Committee meetings is to prepare the Ministerial Statement which will be presented at the 7th World Water Forum (Daegu &Gyeongbuk, Republic of Korea, 12-17 April 2015.) The Second PrepCom will take place 24-25 February 2015, UNESCO HQ, Paris.

    The main theme of the forum is “Together Towards A Secure Arab Water Future”. The main goal of AWF3 is to engage all water-interested groups and stakeholders in debate about how far are the current water policies and actions successful to bring water security to the region and effectively contribute to food security and to the conservation of the supporting ecosystems. It aims at identifying policy adjustments and necessary mechanisms that could further promote cooperation between the Arab countries in the Water Sector.

    The HLP is an initiative launched by the World Water Council (WWC) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The panel is chaired by Angel Gurria, OECD Secretary-General.
