Participate in the 10th World Water Forum in Bali

The 10th World Water Forum will take place in Bali, Indonesia from 18 to 25 May 2024. With the theme “Water for Shared Prosperity”.

The 10th World Water Forum provides a unique platform where the water community and key decision makers can collaborate and make long term progress on global water challenges.

By participating in the 10th World Water Forum you will contribute to responding to the challenges of water and sanitation of our time.

A word of welcome from the President of the World Water Council, Loic Fauchon:

The preparation of the 10th World Water Forum has now entered its active phase. On February 15 and 16, nearly a thousand members of the world water community will meet in Jakarta at the initiative of the highest authorities of the Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia and our Council are organizing this 10th Forum with a double objective.

First, to confirm that water as well as sanitation are political priorities. “Water is politics” at all levels, international, national and local. And these priorities require actions and solutions which are themselves political.

Secondly, to express loudly that bringing water to several million people who are deprived of it requires a perfect alliance between innovation, governance and finance. And this alliance requires concrete answers that will enter into the daily life of the poorest people.

The World Water Council and its member organizations are proud to be part of the coorganization of the 10th World Water Forum which will be held in Bali from 18 to 24 May 2024. Thank you to Indonesia, to the President of the Republic, to the Ministers in charge and to the Indonesian colleagues for making this 10th World Water Forum Forum a success that will be part of the Great Water Story.

    10th World Water Forum
With good water management, we can achieve prosperity  together, and for all.

The Forum is a more than 3-year process of developing political commitments, Thematic solutions, and Regional responses.

Three processes are closely interlinked based on the common condition that the water community faces and shared vision and enablers.

All stakeholders are highly encouraged to join.

    • The Thematic Process tackles the water challenges and provides solutions for discussion at the World Water Forum.
    • The Political Process provides the opportunity for discussion amongst and with elected officials at all  levels (Head of States, Ministers, parliamentarian, Local Authorities, and Basin  authorities).
    • The Regional Process provides perspectives on water from all regions based on local needs.
    • The Fair and Expo provide a space for all stakeholders to showcase their contributions.

ln addition, other events are organized throughout the preparation period and during the World Water Forum event, offering additional opportunities for all stakeholders to meet, learn, debate and present issues, policies and state-of-the-art solutions for efficient and sustainable water resources and services management and to communicate this to a worldwide audience.
