Review of the 2nd Dushanbe Conference

    The 2nd High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development" 2018-2028 was held from 6 to 9 June 2022 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
    The World Water Council was involved in the preparation of this event.

     

    The Indonesian delegation in Marseille

    H.E. Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Public Works, and Housing and Loïc Fauchon at the working meeting for the preparation of the 10th World Water Forum in Bali.

    On the side-lines of the ICOLD Congress, the Indonesian delegation, led by H.E. Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Public Works, and Housing, came to Marseille.

    This allowed us to conduct initial meetings for the preparation of the 10th World Water Forum of Bali, which will be held in 2024.

     

    Mobilisation for the Brazil Water Week online

    The international water community was mobilised for the 3rd edition of the Brazil Water Week - BWW 2022, which took place from May 23 to 27 in a virtual mode. 
    The World Water Council was present at this important event and its President, Loïc Fauchon, was invited to speak at the opening session.

    In his speech at the opening ceremony of the 9th World Water Forum, Loïc Fauchon stated four strong points, as guidelines for the Council in favor of water.

     


    • Securing the resource
    "Innovate and innovate again: pump, transfer, desalinate, recycle, and increase the amount of water available" while "disrupting our uses, our habits, and our behaviors" in order to consume better and less.

     

    OFFICIAL VISIT TO MOROCCO BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD WATER COUNCIL

    In view of the 9th World Water Forum which will open in Dakar on 22 March 2022, Loïc Fauchon, President of the World Water Council, went on an official trip to Morocco to meet the Head of the Moroccan Government, various Ministers and the Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water. They are all actively preparing Morocco's participation in this event.

    On 22 March 2021, World Water Day and a symbolic date for the 9th World Water Forum in Dakar, which should have opened on D-365 days before its postponement to 2022, the Ministry of Water and Sanitation of Senegal and the Secretariat of the 9th Forum, in collaboration with the World Water Council, have seized the opportunity to bring together all the stakeholders in a series of virtual webinars.

    Webinare IIEA / The Future of Water: Opportunity and Risk

    Monday February 1st, Loïc Fauchon, President of the World Water Council, participated in the webinar “The Future of Water: Opportunity and risk”, organized by the Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of Ireland.
