Uniting for Water: Local Authorities Leading the Way to Shared Prosperity

At the 10th World Water Forum, local authorities emphasized their vital role in water management amid growing challenges like climate change, urbanization, and pollution. Water is a fundamental human right and essential for human dignity.

Key commitments include securing water resources, promoting effective right to water, implementing nature-based solutions, and fostering international cooperation. It led to a mutual agreement and a declaration between the World Water Council and UCLG (United Cities and Local governments).

The joint declaration advocates for innovative financing, capacity building, and community involvement to ensure sustainable and equitable water access for all. Let's unite for shared prosperity and a sustainable future.
