Call for candidatures – King Hassan II Great World Water Prize

    The Government of Morocco and the World Water Council are launching the 6th edition of the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize, one of the world's great distinctions in the water sector. The Prize will be awarded during the 8th World Water Forum in Brasilia (Brazil)

    with a grant of US$100,000.

    Deadline Extended – King Hassan II Great World Water Prize

    The Government of Morocco and the World Water Council are launching the 6th edition of the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize, one of the world's great distinctions in the water sector. The Prize will be awarded during the 8th World Water Forum in Brasilia (Brazil) with a grant of US$100,000. All candidatures must be submitted before 31 December 2017.

    Nigerien social entrepreneur Abdou Maman wins the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize (US$ 100,000)

    Today, at the Grand Opening Ceremony of the 7th World Water Forum, in presence of a range of Heads of State and delegations coming from 160 countries, the Kingdom of Morocco and the World Water Council have awarded the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize, one of the most prestigious awards in the water sector, to Mr Abdou Maman, Director Tech Innov Niger, for an integrated and innovative solution for remote operation of irrigation.

    Nepalese organization ENPHO wins 4th edition of Kyoto Prize

    Marseille, 23 February, 2015 - The Japan Water Forum in partnership with the World Water Council have awarded the 4th edition of the Kyoto World Water Grand Prize to Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), from Nepal, an organization involved in outstanding grass-roots activities dealing with water problems, which may serve as a model for others. 
     

    King Hassan II Great World Water Prize: Applications are closed

    Jointly organized by the Government of Morocco and the World Water Council, the 5th edition of the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize will reward excellence or innovation in “Cooperation and sound management in the development and use of water resources.” The winner will be granted an award of US$100,000.
