Loïc Fauchon at the opening ceremony of Eaumega2022

The President of the World Water Council was invited to give a speech that was broadcast by video at the opening ceremony of the second edition of Eaumega, UNESCO's international conference on "Water, Megacities and Global Change", which took place from January 11 to 14.

The event, which brought together scientists, operators and local policy makers, aimed at producing a scientific and technical overview of the water-related challenges and solutions that megacities are facing and using to mitigate the effects of climate change. "Water and sanitation must become a true priority. Water is politics. We must reaffirm wholeheartedly the right to share water. It is a collective right as well as an individual right", said Mr. Fauchon in his speech.
