Launch of a new report : Financing Water Projects: Building a Sustainable Future

The World Water Council has launched its new report, Financing Water Projects: Building a Sustainable Future, offering a fresh perspective on how to fund water initiatives that are both sustainable and resilient. The report moves beyond the traditional focus on short-term, profit-oriented projects, emphasizing the need for financial viability, social inclusion, and environmental responsibility.

It introduces a practical vision of sustainability as a core design principle, links project-level action with system-wide strategies, and calls for stronger collaboration across the water, climate, nature, and development sectors. Drawing from global case studies, it identifies key challenges and proposes solutions to strengthen long-term impact and attract new sources of financing.

The report was officially launched during a dedicated event hosted by the World Water Council, followed by a cocktail reception that encouraged dialogue among experts and partners committed to building a sustainable water future.
