The 9th edition of SITeau, held in Marrakech, highlighted the strong engagement of Morocco and its institutions within the World Water Council community. Through the active participation of Moroccan members and partners, the event demonstrated the country’s commitment to sharing expertise and advancing cooperation on global water challenges.
At the opening of the conference, Loïc Fauchon, President of the World Water Council, emphasized the important role played by Moroccan institutions in promoting innovative and integrated approaches to water management. Through their experience in governance, research, technology, and resilience strategies, Moroccan stakeholders continue to contribute valuable knowledge and practical solutions to the international water community.
The event also underlined the importance of collaboration between universities, public institutions, experts, and international organizations in addressing the growing impacts of climate change, droughts, urbanization, and water scarcity.
As water-related challenges intensify worldwide, the exchange of experience and know-how among members of the World Water Council remains essential to building sustainable and resilient solutions for future generations.
