Garantir l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'eau ne consiste pas seulement \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre un droit de l'homme, mais aussi \u00e0 adapter les pratiques agricoles aux d\u00e9fis croissants pos\u00e9s par la p\u00e9nurie d'eau et le stress climatique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Ces convictions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 au c\u0153ur de la participation du Conseil \u00e0 la <strong>Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM)<\/strong>, tenue en <strong>Mekn\u00e8s du 21 au 27 avril 2024<\/strong>. Le Conseil mondial de l'eau a eu l'honneur d'\u00eatre invit\u00e9 en tant qu'invit\u00e9 sp\u00e9cial par la Commission europ\u00e9enne. <strong>Gouvernement du Maroc<\/strong>, Dans son discours d'ouverture, il a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 le lien essentiel entre l'eau et l'agriculture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Lors de son discours d'ouverture, <strong>Lo\u00efc Fauchon, pr\u00e9sident du Conseil mondial de l'eau<\/strong>, Il a soulign\u00e9 qu'une terre fertile ne peut exister sans eau, mais que l'eau a aussi besoin de ceux qui cultivent la terre. \u201cL'eau a besoin des agriculteurs, des \u00e9leveurs, des paysans et des habitants des zones rurales\u201d, a-t-il rappel\u00e9 au public, soulignant la dimension humaine de la gestion de l'eau.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00c0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 de nombreuses r\u00e9gions sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 une quantit\u00e9 d'eau trop importante, trop faible ou trop pollu\u00e9e - souvent simultan\u00e9ment - le pr\u00e9sident Fauchon a soulign\u00e9 l'urgence de g\u00e9rer nos ressources avec sagesse et \u00e9quit\u00e9. Le SIAM a constitu\u00e9 une plate-forme pr\u00e9cieuse pour plaider en faveur de solutions \u00e0 long terme pour g\u00e9rer les s\u00e9cheresses, les inondations et le stress hydrique en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, y compris <strong>investissements strat\u00e9giques dans les ressources en eau non conventionnelles<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Le leadership du Maroc dans ce domaine a \u00e9t\u00e9 salu\u00e9, en particulier ses avanc\u00e9es dans les domaines suivants <strong>dessalement<\/strong>, <strong>infrastructure pour la r\u00e9utilisation de l'eau<\/strong>, et <strong>transferts d'eau entre bassins<\/strong>, Le Maroc a mis en place des syst\u00e8mes d'adduction d'eau, tels que le projet Sebou et Bouregreg qui garantit l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'eau pour plus de 12 millions de personnes dans la r\u00e9gion de Rabat. En associant ces innovations aux \u00e9nergies renouvelables, le Maroc a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer les graves p\u00e9nuries d'eau et \u00e0 \u00e9viter une crise de l'eau potentiellement d\u00e9vastatrice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Pourtant, la voie \u00e0 suivre reste sem\u00e9e d'emb\u00fbches. La s\u00e9cheresse persiste et il faut continuer \u00e0 innover et \u00e0 collaborer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Dans cet esprit, le Conseil mondial de l'eau et le Royaume du Maroc sont fiers d'annoncer la cr\u00e9ation d'un fonds de solidarit\u00e9 pour l'eau. <strong>Centre mondial pour la promotion des ressources en eau non conventionnelles<\/strong>, une initiative conjointe visant \u00e0 promouvoir des solutions alternatives pour l'eau aliment\u00e9es par des \u00e9nergies renouvelables.
