Organis\u00e9e au si\u00e8ge de l'OCDE \u00e0 Paris et en ligne, la r\u00e9union a rassembl\u00e9 plus de 150 participants issus des gouvernements, de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, du monde universitaire et du secteur priv\u00e9, marquant ainsi un moment charni\u00e8re puisque les Principes de l'OCDE sur la gouvernance de l'eau approchent de leur 10e anniversaire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Le Conseil s'est joint au groupe de travail sur l'eau pour relever les d\u00e9fis majeurs li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'eau pr\u00e9vus pour les d\u00e9cennies \u00e0 venir. La demande en eau devrait augmenter de 55% d'ici 2050, sous l'effet de la production industrielle, de la production d'\u00e9nergie et de la consommation domestique. Combin\u00e9e aux pressions induites par le climat, telles que la modification des r\u00e9gimes de pr\u00e9cipitations et la hausse des temp\u00e9ratures, l'ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l'eau constitue une menace s\u00e9rieuse pour la r\u00e9silience de l'\u00e9conomie mondiale et la durabilit\u00e9 de l'environnement. En r\u00e9ponse, le Conseil mondial de l'eau soutient l'appel lanc\u00e9 aux gouvernements pour qu'ils donnent la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 des investissements publics coordonn\u00e9s, qu'ils adoptent des m\u00e9canismes de financement innovants et qu'ils favorisent une gouvernance multi-niveaux et intersectorielle. L'int\u00e9gration des politiques relatives \u00e0 l'eau, au climat et \u00e0 la biodiversit\u00e9 par le biais d'une approche syst\u00e9mique est aujourd'hui plus cruciale que jamais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Une session cl\u00e9 intitul\u00e9e <strong>\u201cRepenser la gouvernance mondiale de l'eau\u201d<\/strong> a refl\u00e9t\u00e9 un consensus croissant sur le fait que l'eau doit \u00eatre comprise et g\u00e9r\u00e9e non seulement comme un bien public, mais aussi comme un bien commun mondial. La session a soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d'une approche pangouvernementale qui engage tous les niveaux de gouvernement et divers minist\u00e8res sectoriels pour g\u00e9rer les ressources en eau bleue et verte de mani\u00e8re holistique. S'appuyant sur la dynamique de la Conf\u00e9rence des Nations unies sur l'eau de 2023, qui a cr\u00e9\u00e9 un poste d'envoy\u00e9 sp\u00e9cial des Nations unies pour l'eau et mis en place une strat\u00e9gie pour l'eau et l'assainissement \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle du syst\u00e8me des Nations unies, la session s'est pench\u00e9e sur les principales \u00e9tapes, notamment les suivantes <strong>Conf\u00e9rence de l'ONU sur l'eau 2026<\/strong> et le <strong>11e Forum mondial de l'eau en 2027<\/strong>, Tous deux devraient faire progresser de mani\u00e8re significative l'agenda mondial de la gouvernance de l'eau.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Le Conseil mondial de l'eau continuera \u00e0 jouer un r\u00f4le actif au sein du WGI en fa\u00e7onnant l'avenir de la gouvernance mondiale de l'eau, en contribuant au prochain bilan mondial des principes de l'OCDE et en promouvant le dialogue et l'action \u00e0 tous les niveaux afin de garantir l'eau pour tous.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>28\u201329 January 2025 | OECD Headquarters, Paris &amp; Online On the occasion of the 20th meeting of the OECD Water Governance Initiative (WGI), the World Water Council reaffirmed its commitment to advancing sound water governance globally as an engaged and longstanding WGI member and strategic partner of the OECD.
