L'\u00e9v\u00e9nement, endoss\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9sidence de la COP23 et pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 par le pr\u00e9sident d'honneur du Conseil mondial de l'eau, Lo\u00efc Fauchon, et S.E. Charafat Afilal, secr\u00e9taire d'\u00c9tat \u00e0 l'eau et \u00e0 l'environnement du Maroc, a r\u00e9uni des participants de haut niveau, tels que des experts internationaux et des dirigeants politiques \u00e0 la pointe du d\u00e9bat sur le changement climatique et l'eau, ainsi que plusieurs ministres de l'environnement, notamment, Istiaque Ahmad, secr\u00e9taire du minist\u00e8re de l'Environnement et des For\u00eats du Bangladesh et Sindra Sharma-Khushal, de l'\u00e9quipe de la pr\u00e9sidence de la CCNUCC COP23 pour les Fidji. Des n\u00e9gociateurs climatiques et des repr\u00e9sentants gouvernementaux de Fidji, de Sierra Leone, d'Alg\u00e9rie, de Mauritanie, du Ghana, du Burkina Faso, du Bangladesh, du Maroc, d'Allemagne et du Salvador, ainsi que de nombreux repr\u00e9sentants de secteurs cl\u00e9s ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement. La mission de la conf\u00e9rence \u00e9tait de tracer la voie \u00e0 suivre et de sensibiliser le monde aux questions cruciales li\u00e9es \u00e0 l'eau avant la COP23, qui aura lieu \u00e0 Bonn en novembre de cette ann\u00e9e, et le Forum mondial de l'eau, qui se tiendra \u00e0 Brasilia en mars 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>La conf\u00e9rence a soulign\u00e9 l'importance de l'eau en tant qu'\u00e9l\u00e9ment central du d\u00e9veloppement humain en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et au c\u0153ur des impacts du changement climatique. \u201cL'eau est un catalyseur et un connecteur, un fil conducteur essentiel qui relie les nombreux aspects abord\u00e9s par les objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement durable.  Je suis fermement convaincu que loin d'\u00eatre un probl\u00e8me, l'eau est une solution, un facteur d\u00e9terminant pour rendre le monde meilleur\u201d, a expliqu\u00e9 le professeur Dogan Altinbilek, vice-pr\u00e9sident du Conseil mondial de l'eau.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me conf\u00e9rence internationale sur l'eau et le climat a mis l'accent sur l'objectif de d\u00e9veloppement durable n\u00b0 11 (villes et communaut\u00e9s durables) et l'objectif de d\u00e9veloppement durable n\u00b0 2 (faim z\u00e9ro), ainsi que sur l'initiative \"De l'eau pour l'Afrique\", lanc\u00e9e lors de l'\u00e9dition pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente de la conf\u00e9rence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSans eau, nous serions une plan\u00e8te st\u00e9rile et sans vie. Une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 fondamentale sur l'eau et son lien avec toute la vie est que sa gestion imprudente devient de plus en plus un obstacle \u00e0 la lutte contre le changement climatique. Or, la lutte contre le changement climatique est une condition pr\u00e9alable \u00e0 la paix\u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Sindra Sharma-Khushal, membre de l'\u00e9quipe de la pr\u00e9sidence de la CCNUCC COP23. En raison du changement climatique, l'eau douce devient une ressource rare.
