Le Conseil mondial de l'eau est l'un des partenaires fondateurs de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du Financial Times. Cette conf\u00e9rence d'une journ\u00e9e \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par Pilita Clark, correspondante du Financial Times pour l'environnement, et a rassembl\u00e9 plus de 180 participants issus du monde des affaires, de la finance et de la communaut\u00e9 de l'eau.<\/div>\n<div>Au cours du sommet, Benedito Braga, pr\u00e9sident du Conseil mondial de l'eau, a appel\u00e9 le monde des affaires \u00e0 jouer un r\u00f4le plus important dans la r\u00e9solution des probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'eau et dans la r\u00e9alisation de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l'eau. Soulignant les choix difficiles et les compromis qui doivent \u00eatre faits par tous, il a ajout\u00e9 que la collaboration entre les secteurs, et en particulier avec le secteur financier, sera cruciale si nous voulons parvenir \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l'eau pour tous. Pour illustrer ce d\u00e9fi, le pr\u00e9sident Braga a cit\u00e9 des estimations r\u00e9centes qui indiquent que des investissements annuels de l'ordre de 500 milliards \u00e0 1 000 milliards de dollars am\u00e9ricains seront n\u00e9cessaires, d'ici \u00e0 2030, pour r\u00e9soudre le probl\u00e8me de l'acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l'eau potable et \u00e0 l'assainissement.<\/div>\n<div>Plusieurs responsables d'entreprises internationales en charge du d\u00e9veloppement durable et de l'eau, des d\u00e9cideurs politiques, des banques et des investisseurs, ainsi que des dirigeants de grandes entreprises de services publics, d'universit\u00e9s, de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s d'ing\u00e9nierie et de technologie ont \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 au Sommet de l'eau du FT afin de partager leurs pratiques sur la mani\u00e8re dont ils transforment les risques li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'eau en opportunit\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques.
