Gyeongju, R\u00e9publique de Cor\u00e9e - Le vendredi 21 f\u00e9vrier, Benedito Braga, pr\u00e9sident du Conseil mondial de l'eau, et Soontak Lee, gouverneur du Conseil, ont re\u00e7u le titre de citoyens d'honneur de Gyeongju, en tant que copr\u00e9sidents du comit\u00e9 directeur international du 7e Forum mondial de l'eau.\u00a0<\/div>\n
Dans son discours, le maire de Gyeongju, Choi Yang-sik, a reconnu le r\u00f4le fondamental du Conseil mondial de l'eau dans la promotion de la sensibilisation locale aux questions li\u00e9es \u00e0 l'eau en amenant le 7e Forum mondial de l'eau en Cor\u00e9e. Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu'il esp\u00e9rait que le Forum serait l'occasion de r\u00e9introduire la ville de Gyeongju dans le monde. Gyeongju accueillera le Deuxi\u00e8me r\u00e9union de consultation des parties prenantes<\/a>\u00a0les 27 et 28 f\u00e9vrier 2014, en pr\u00e9paration du 7e Forum mondial de l'eau. \u00a0<\/div>\n
Le pr\u00e9sident Braga a exprim\u00e9 sa gratitude au maire. \u201cJe suis honor\u00e9 de me joindre aux citoyens de Gyeongju et j'esp\u00e8re qu'ensemble nous pourrons encourager les citoyens du monde entier \u00e0 repr\u00e9senter la voix de l'eau\u201d. Soontak Lee, gouverneur du conseil municipal, a remerci\u00e9 le maire Choi pour son soutien \u00e0 l'organisation du 7e Forum mondial de l'eau.\u00a0<\/div>\n
Gyeongju, capitale de l'ancien royaume de Silla, qui a r\u00e9gn\u00e9 sur la majeure partie de la p\u00e9ninsule cor\u00e9enne entre le 7e et le 9e si\u00e8cle, a \u00e9t\u00e9 class\u00e9e au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
