on our planet. Its uneven distribution leaves a significant portion of the population without access to safe water and sanitation. Climate change further exacerbates the problem. In this context, non-conventional water resources emerge as a solution that countries can turn to. A special attention is given to the reuse of treated wastewater and the desalination of seawater and brackish water.<\/p><p>The Task Force work is to study the feasability of the creation of an Observatory for Non-Conventional Water Resources and associated Renewable Energies under the auspices of\u00a0 the World Water Council. It addresses the need to establish dialogue and identify innovative solutions\u2014ranging from micro to macro scale\u2014to tackle water scarcity in specific geographic areas and worldwide. The creation of the Observatory aims to gather and analyze experiences from various stakeholders in integrating non-conventional water resources and their associated energy requirements.<\/p><p>So far, the Task Force has carried out work in the Sahel and Mediterranean regions, where several countries have had to rely on unconventional water resources and renewable energies to meet their needs.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-71d460c4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\"
