data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The World Water Council is a non-profit organization known as &#8220;Association Loi 1901&#8221;. The World Water Council is governed by its Constitution and by-Laws voted by its members through its General Assembly.<\/p><p>The General Assembly meets every three years in ordinary meetings and as needed in extraordinary meetings. It elects and appoints a maximum of 35 members to the <strong>Board of Governors<\/strong> in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws. Each member has one vote (regardless of their size and college) to elect the Board of Governors.<br \/>The Board of Governors is the decision-making body of the organization, it reports periodically to its members, to decide on the priorities the World Water Council should work on.<\/p><p>The <strong>Board of Governors<\/strong> elects its President, who will appoint a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldwatercouncil.org\/head-of-council\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #062837; text-decoration: underline;\">Bureau<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a> composed of a Vice-President, a Treasurer, and other
