Kick-off meeting
The European preparatory process for the 4th World Water Forum was launched at a regional meeting on February 2nd in Paris at the Office International de l’Eau. Following a presentation of the Forum, its objectives, and its thematic and regional processes, the preparatory process was then discussed as it applies to Europe. A number of relevant themes were identified (See below).

European Solidarity Week for Water, October 15-21, 2005
The European Solidarity Week for Water will take place in Strasbourg from October 15th through the 21st. It will be an important event in the European preparatory process for the World Water Forum in Mexico City, due to the events it offers and the diversity of its participants. The week will offer a weekend of discussion on the concrete implementation of the right to water in Europe.
