    The High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF0218) is a milestone in the SDG process. This annual meeting brings together decision makers and relevant stakeholders for two weeks to follow-up and review the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals.

    This year’s HLPF meeting, from 9 to 18 July, is particularly important due to the review of SDG6– Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all on 9 July. In addition, Goals 7, 11, 12, 15 and 17 will also be reviewed. 

    The World Water Council is present with the international community at the High Level Political Forum to highlight the importance of water in achieving all SDGs and to bring water to the forefront of the global sustainable development agenda. Come and meet us!

    Side Event: 8th World Water Forum Outcomes, 17 July, 18:30-20:00 - Conference Room 8 (GA-18-CR08) UN Headquarters. The Council and the Government of Brazil are co-organizing a special side-event to present the 8th World Water Forum outcomes as an key input to the international efforts in ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. 

    World Water Council Booth –1st floor, between conference elevators & Room 2, UN Secretariat. The Council’s booth will be accessible to all Forum participants for the duration of the HLPF.

    Water is the connecting thread between all Sustainable Development Goals and it is core to the achievement of Agenda 2030.
