    The World Water Council has two prestigious water related Prizes, which are awarded on the occasion of the triennial World Water Forum: The King Hassan II Great World Water Prize and the Kyoto World Water Grand Prize.

    With the main theme of "Cooperation and sound management in the development and use of water resources", this prestigious Prize (US$ 100,000) is awarded to an institution, organization, individual or group of individuals in honor of their outstanding achievements in any aspects of water resources.

    Kyoto World Water Grand Prize

    Kyoto World Water Grand Prize

    This Prize showcases grassroots initiatives that aim to improve the water-related situation of local communities around the world. The winning organization will be invited to the 8th World Water Forum, which will be held in Brasilia (Brazil,) from 18 to 23 March 2018, and will receive an award of 2 million JPY (around 18,000 USD), to be used to implement their project.
